Review: Bodega Nottingham, 12/03/2010
From MoreThantheMusic
Indie is everywhere and the airwaves seem clogged with bands claiming to be punky whilst sounding like a rehash of yesterday’s hot pick. Oxford Punt Live Review
Review By Joby Mullens – The Fly Magazine Online

The hotly-tipped Oxford rock duo Little Fish have such a huge weight of expectation behind them that it almost seems as though they have been set up to be devoured by the sharks.
From the off though, the duo only cement their reputation further as one of the most exciting live acts around at present, practically capsizing the competition in the process.
Singer and guitarist Julia pulls off a truly captivating performance – at one moment bouncing around the stage like an uncoiled spring, the next practically screaming into the microphone like someone possessed.
Nez batters the drums with considerable aplomb as the duo drop in new material with what for some of the audience might now be considered classics, working off one another to whip the audience into a wild unadulterated frenzy of flailing limbs and jerking heads.
‘Am I crazy, am I crazy, am I out of my tiny mind?’ Julia yelps on set closer Am I Crazy, leaving the crowd baying for more, the lyrics left hanging like an unanswered question.
Whatever the answer may be, what is for certain is you’d be crazy not to catch these fish while you still can, before they inevitably head off to the bigger pond they are almost certainly destined for.
